How is Imperial Vodka made?

The Ladoga company, which is based in St. Petersburg, has been distilling top-class vodka since 1817.

The grain type Saratovskaja, which can be found in the south of Russia and has a particularly high proportion of starch, is used for the Imperial.

For this, grain alcohol is distilled based on the classic Russian tradition, with the best technical progress.

Added is the water of Lake Ladoga, which is known for its purity and softness.

It is filtered 3 times in total. The first time through birch charcoal. A silver filter is used for the 2nd pass and a membrane filter for the 3rd filtering.

Bottle & packaging

The bottle in which the first-class vodka rests has the shape of an egg, which was manufactured in a glass factory in Venice. Due to the rich white and the strong ruby in combination with the shiny gold, the egg looks just as valuable as it is. The glass itself was made using 15th century techniques. An impressive eagle watches over the imposing egg, which was made in Florence by a master of his trade who was in the service of the Vatican for over 30 years. All decorative elements of the egg as well as the eagle itself are covered with 24 carat gold. This set also includes a gold-plated holder for glasses and a decorated carafe stopper.

Incidentally, the egg is in the style of the great Russian jeweler Carl Faberge, who between 1883 and 1917 produced a masterpiece of jewelery art for the English royal family every Easter.
